Investor from Russia intends to invest 3,7bn RUB in growing tomatoes in Crimea
A 32-ha land plot was allocated to build this greenhouse complex.
Belogorsky Greenhouse Complex is one of the assets of Gorkunov Group, which is engaged in the production of ecologically clean vegetables. The company plans to invest 3,7bn RUB in the cultivation of tomatoes in the Crimea Republic. That was reported by the republic’s minister of agriculture Andrey Ryumshin.
“Project goal is to build a high-tech greenhouse complex. At present, the construction of a foundation has started. Overall sum of investment is about 3.7bn RUB”, said the minister.
According to him, a 32-ha land plot in the Belogorsky district was allocated based on 49-year lease agreement. The minister said the investor planned to harvest 85 kg per 1 sq m. “The projected output is 14k tonnes of tomatoes annually. The produce will be distributed through Gorkunov store chain”. Ryumshin highlighted that the investor expected 400 work places to appear.
Gorkunov Group assets include modern companies which produce ecologically clean products. According to the website of the group, it has 4 greenhouse complexes (gross output exceeds 18k tonnes) and a fish farm (10 tonnes or 40% share on the market).
